Cookie policy

How we use cookies and similar technologies on wintheweekcomps.com.

This policy is issued by WINTHEWEEKOFFICIAL LTD (company number 17328588). It explains what cookies and similar technologies we use, why, and how you can control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy. Last updated 8 September 2026.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use browser storage, which works in a similar way but stays on your device and is not sent to us. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only set with your consent.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are needed to run the site and cannot be switched off. They do not track you across other websites. We rely on the legal basis that they are strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for.

Optional cookies

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or social-media cookies. If we introduce analytics in future, they will only be set after you choose “Accept” on the cookie banner, and this policy will be updated to name them.

Other technologies

  • Card payments. Payments are taken on a secure page hosted by Cashflows, our payment provider. That page may set its own cookies, which are governed by Cashflows' policies. Your card details never reach our servers.
  • Error reporting. If something goes wrong on a page, a technical error report is sent to Sentry so we can fix it. It does not use cookies, and personal details such as email addresses, dates of birth and codes are removed before it is sent.
  • Push notifications. If you turn on notifications, your browser gives us a subscription address that we store against your account. You can turn this off at any time in your account settings or your browser.

How to control cookies

  • Use the cookie banner when you first visit to choose “Essential only” or “Accept”. To change your choice later, delete the ww_cookie_consent cookie in your browser and the banner will appear again.
  • You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the strictly necessary cookies you will not be able to sign in or enter competitions.
  • Browser storage can be cleared from the same settings, usually under “site data”.
